AI Discovery Workshop · For small to medium businesses and teams

Develop an AI integration plan for your business.

Preparation + workshop (around 90 minutes) + written plan + follow-up · Remote · Up to 9 participants

Explore how your business works, identify where AI could help and decide which ideas are worth pursuing. I help you develop an initial plan in a session tailored to your business.

What we’ll do together

Understand the people and the workflow

Start with your goals, team habits, current tools and AI use. Map the task, information, decisions and handovers with the people who know the work. Agree what a useful improvement would look like.

Output: A current workflow map, success checks and open questions.

Try a task and check the result

See a relevant demonstration, then practise in an agreed tool using a suitable example. Check the response against its source and your standards. Revise the instructions, edit the result or explain why it is unsuitable.

Output: A reviewed example, reusable instructions and a checking guide.

Compare the ways forward

Sketch how AI assistance could fit the workflow and compare it with a process change or better use of existing tools. Consider potential value, effort, risk, information needs and the people who would use it.

Output: A prioritised opportunity record with reasons and gaps to validate.

Agree what to test next

Choose one next test, an owner and a way to judge the result. Record the inputs, human review and dependencies. Where the evidence is incomplete, agree what to investigate before a pilot or build.

Output: A next-test brief or a recorded decision to pause.

Examples of workshop outputs

Your agreed materials can include workflow maps, an opportunity record and a brief for the next test or implementation. These fictional examples from Example Studio show possible formats. We agree the outputs your team needs before booking.

Workflow map

See the task, handovers and proposed change.

Task: Prepare an internal brief from a website enquiry.

Current steps: Email → manual brief → clarification → scoping.

Proposed steps: Email → draft brief → person checks → clarification.

Human checkpoint: People agree scope, price and delivery commitments.

Opportunity record

Record the potential benefit, checks and questions for testing.

Potential value: More consistent first briefs. Needs measurement.

Example to try: Extract requirements from a fictional enquiry.

Checks: Preserve facts, flag unknowns and avoid invented promises.

Still to validate: Reliability and total drafting and review effort.

Next-test brief

Make the next question, owner and checks explicit.

Question: Does draft assistance help prepare an accurate brief?

Examples: Clear, incomplete and contradictory enquiries.

Owner and checks: Client contact reviews accuracy and total effort.

Before a pilot: Confirm sources, access, baseline, costs and fallback.

Your agreed materials record the decisions and next steps from the workshop. A pilot brief is developed where suitable; technical feasibility, building and rollout are separately agreed.

What’s included

Preparation, a tailored workshop usually lasting around 90 minutes, your written plan and one follow-up call. Before booking, we agree the business or team taking part, the preparation and the fee.

Preparation

A short conversation or questionnaire about your business, current tools, AI use and what you would like to improve. Examples and tool access are prepared beforehand; the workflow is not selected in advance.

Tailored workshop

Usually around 90 minutes. The activities are shaped by the preparation conversations, covering ways of working, AI applications, priorities and an initial integration plan.

Written plan within five business days

Your work map, prioritised opportunities and initial integration plan, including the questions that need answering before implementation.

Follow-up within two weeks

One call to discuss the plan, answer questions and review any first steps you have taken.

Remote by default. In-person workshops in the Melbourne area can be arranged, with any travel costs agreed before booking.

For small to medium businesses and teams. A group of 3 to 6 is suggested, with a maximum of 9. Include people doing the work and someone who can decide what to take further.

The written scope sets out the research, learning, practical work and materials included in your workshop. Further interviews, observation, technical validation, prototypes or building are scoped separately. Connected systems, integrations, rollout and ongoing adoption support need their own scope.

How the fee is agreed

After the first conversation, we quote privately for the complete package: preparation, the workshop, written materials and follow-up. Your quote confirms the focus, duration, inclusions, dates and any travel costs. Broader discovery and implementation are quoted separately.

After the workshop

Use the plan with your own team or supplier. If you would like further help, a separate engagement can investigate an opportunity, develop a small pilot or introduce a workflow into everyday use.

Further discovery

Examine a promising workflow in detail. Check the information, integrations and constraints, and establish how the work performs today.

Design and pilot

Define a small application, build it and test it with users. Compare quality and total effort, including the time needed to review and correct AI output.

Implementation and support

Introduce the workflow, train the people using it and agree maintenance and support. Review actual use before extending it.

Tino can design and build small, clearly scoped workflows. Larger builds bring in specialist partners led by him, with technical responsibilities, handover and ongoing support agreed before work starts.

Workshop questions

Who is the workshop for?

Small to medium businesses and teams, including product teams considering AI in a product or service. We agree the business or team taking part so everyone can contribute to the same discussion.

Do we need to choose a workflow beforehand?

No. We explore your ways of working during the session. You may identify several activities or connected workflows before comparing possible AI applications. Preparation establishes context and suitable examples, rather than deciding the answer in advance.

Do we need AI experience?

No. We adapt the discussion and examples to your AI experience, including a practical introduction where useful. If you already use AI, we can discuss what is working and where you need a more consistent approach.

Will we build a working AI system?

The workshop includes practical learning and an initial integration plan. Connecting your systems, building a production workflow, detailed testing and rollout are separate work. We agree that scope after assessing the opportunities.

What should we bring?

A list of your current tools and some thoughts about the work you would like to improve. We confirm tool access and any examples beforehand. Please leave confidential documents and personal client information out of website enquiries.

Is this a complete AI strategy?

It is an initial plan based on a focused discussion of your business or team. A complete business-wide strategy, validated return on investment and detailed technical design need further research. Where useful, the plan organises proposed work over 30, 60 and 90 days; dates depend on capacity and further checks.

What does the package cost?

We quote privately after the first conversation. The quote covers preparation, a tailored session usually lasting around 90 minutes, written materials within five business days and one follow-up call within two weeks. Travel costs and any additional work are agreed before booking. You can use the plan without buying further services.

Can people from different businesses attend?

This discovery workshop is for people discussing the same business or team. A group from different businesses is better suited to a learning session with individual exercises and outcomes. We can discuss that format separately.
